My Story
God has paved the way for me to become a prayerful spiritual companion to those who long for intimacy with God.
I live in Dallas, Texas and am married to Syd, my “high school sweetheart.” As a young child, I committed my life and service to Jesus. I graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary and worked with Buckner International, leading teams to work with orphans in seven different countries. Because of our heart for orphans, Syd and I started a non-profit that built an orphanage/school in Kenya.
Locally, I have worked closely with the homeless – mentoring, teaching, and being a friend. As an ordained minister, I led a small team in a church plant and have pastored for the last decade. Most recently, I completed the Apprentice Experience, an 18-month in-depth study and development of spiritual formation through Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.
Informally, I have been guiding and helping people discern God’s voice in their lives for many years. Upon completion of the requirements for The School of Spiritual Direction (soulformation.org; a nine-month intense study), I have formalized my role as Spiritual Director. God has paved the way for me to become a prayerful spiritual companion to those who long for intimacy with God. I invite you to experience God’s presence on a deeper level through spiritual direction.
“We also need guides: spiritual friends, a spiritual director, or a spiritual accountability group that can function for us as a safe place to bear our souls.”
